How to Register an Assessee on Income Tax Portal

After receiving our Permanent Account Number from NSDL, we have to register ourselves to income tax Portal in order to do any activity. Registration Procedure is as under:

1. Go to https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/

2. Click ‘Register Yourself’ icon at top right corner. 

3. Under Registration Form, we have to check the type of Assessee and click ‘Continue’.

4. Enter PAN No. and other Basic Details. If you used Single Name while applying for PAN, fill your name in ‘Surname’ Column. Click ‘Continue’.

5. Fill all details, as you filled in your PAN Application Form.

6. After this, You will receive an activation link your email and a PIN on your mobile.

6. Open your E-mail (As you entered in Step 4) and find email having sender ‘DONOTREPLY@incometaxindia.......’ and having subject ‘e-filling Registration Activation Link’. Open the Email and find a link of income tax therein. 

  

7. Enter Your Mobile PIN and press ‘ENTER’
